Matthew's Big Boy Haircut

Look at how I've changed! I got my first haircut today. I sat with my daddy in the chair and only cried a little. I really liked it when the hairdresser gave me a comb and let me hold the buzzers. I even got a certificate telling me how brave I was!

Back in the day

OK, I'm such a nerd, Matthew has just gone to bed and my older two kids are having a sleepover at grandma and grandpa's. And what am I doing? I am thinking about the past and how time just flies by. Here are a few pictures of back when........

Diggin' my new grass

i got in the mood to change things up a bit in our bedroom. it's only been 7 years!! so, i blew up a few of my favorite beach pictures and bought some cool black frames......and ran across this grass. i love it!! now, if i can find a new comforter set and new paint color for our walls, we'll be a little more up to date.

Feeling Blue

My little Anthony has had the flu since the weekend. He has stayed home for the past two days from school & is getting better. He still isn't himself.....my crazy eater and spunky guy in the morning. I kinda feel like a bad mom sending him to school today. He has not had a fever for a couple of days, so we'll just see how he does. I'm sure once he sees his friends and gets into the classroom he'll be just fine.

The New Hang Out Spot

Anthony and Caroline discovered a new spot to hang out and it's our downstairs closet! I pulled everything out (even found some stuff I forgot about) and let them have it for their blankets, flashlights, & whatever else.....Pretty cool I must say and definitely quieter when they are in their secret hide-out.

Little Miss Sunshine

Yesterday we went to Grand Rapids and found some great deals at Target& Old Navy. I found this shirt for Caroline and had to get it! It totally describes her most of the time! We had lots of fun, because Elizabeth and crew joined us to check out Costco, eat out at Red Robin, and hit the mall. We accomplished all this and even made it to pick up the older two at school by 3:30! It was like walking through an arctic blast with -15 windchills , but we braved it like champs!

New Beginnings

January is a great time to make a new start right? Well, I figure this will be a great way to document how special having a family really is. I've been a secret admirer of moms who already have blogs and now, I figure it's time for me to do the same! How fun!
